Facial Cleansing becomes a Ritual

Didn't see it coming to be honest!
I've always loved everything about makeup, spending hours in Superdrug as a young teen testing and saving to buy that one product which promised the world. I've only ever not worn make up once or twice since being 15, that fifteen minutes spent 'getting me face on', usually between 06.45 and 7am is probably the calmest I am all day! The look is different these days, my husband often asks if I'm even wearing any, I'm pretty sure he'd love me too go back to my full on 80's look!
Anyway, I've always been a total CTM sort of girl, that's Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise if you're wondering. No matter the time or my condition, every night the make up would be removed. Often very quickly and not too carefully but removed it would be.
The cleansing time at the end of the day has now become as precious as the morning application, something to take time over, making sure the day is removed totally. Forty years ago we weren't even aware of environmental pollutants and certainly not what they contribute to skin ageing, but now we do.
The luxury of having products available to me which allows gentle but thorough cleansing, toners which work without stripping the delicate facial skin, a wide range of serums and creams adaptable to the way my skin feels and the environmental factors it will be facing at any particular time is an absolute gift.
